Steve has been involved in significant real estate purchase and sales transactions and related contract negotiations around the San Francisco Bay Area, and is a veteran broker who possesses significant experience in representing buyers and sellers in matters of 1031 tax deferred exchanges, trust sales, and environmental issues. Steve has acted as the lead broker closed transactions totaling nearly $1.6 billion which includes over 1,200 multi-family units and 1,550,000 square feet of commercial investments.

Represented an overseas buyer, in the purchase of 225 Bush Street (The Standard Oil Building) in San Francisco, a 586,000 sq.ft. office/retail investment property for the purchase price of $350,000,000
Represented family trust execute a 1031 tax deferred exchange into several long-term leased investments, totaling over 36,000 square feet and $19.2 million dollars. Negotiating multiple Internal Revenue Service timelines and due diligence periods, including extensive environmental studies and testing, with each property owner’s broker to complete the transaction in a timely manner.
Represented a high-net-worth local family execute a 1031 Tax Deferred Exchange from an entitled San Francisco Mixed Unit Development Site (entitled for 105 residential units with a future lease for a Trader Joe’s Grocery Store) into several long-term leased investments, totaling over 36,000 square feet. Steve negotiated complicated Internal Revenue Service timelines and due diligence periods, which included extensive environmental studies and testing, with each property owner’ broker to complete the transaction in a timely manner.
Completed a multi-client 1031 Tax Deferred Exchange transaction which included properties including a Staples Inc. and Golf Mart Shopping Center, Rosewood Village Shopping Center. Steve was able to negotiate and coordinate the principal’s individual goals and timeframes to successfully accomplish this assignment.
Represented a local investment partnership in the successful 1031 Tax Deferred Exchange from an 81-unit multi-family property in Oakland to several Single Tenant Net Leased Investment Properties. The assets the client was able to acquire included a Walgreens Store in Santa Cruz, a CVS Heath in San Leandro and a strip center in Pittsburg. Steve was able to negotiate and complete several steps to the exchange which included complicated negotiations with due diligence investigations and financing.
Represented a local two-family, multi-generational investment partnership in the successful 1031 Tax Deferred Exchange from a Multi-Family Mixed Use investment into a Net Leased Investment property which included tenants Davita Dialysis Kidney Care, Dunn Edwards Paint Company and BluePearl Pet Hospital. The transaction included negotiating a complicated timeframe whereas the buyer of the multi-family property fully committed to the purchase before the client proceeded with negotiating terms of the net lease investment. Both the Buyer and Seller of the Davita property were facilitating a 1031 Exchange with critical timeframes
