Jonathan “Jay” Blacker brings to the table an eclectic skill set covering several decades.
Mr. Blacker is a licensed attorney and for many years engaged exclusively in the practice of law. Following his years as an attorney and for more than two decades he received substantial notoriety as the developer and founder of several successful foodservice concepts. Due to his extensive experience and expertise many foodservice operators sought his counsel in connection with a myriad of issues including but not limited to their lease requirements.
More recently, Mr. Blacker seamlessly transitioned to what he believes will be his final career stop, Commercial Real Estate.
Mr. Blacker has an extensive skillset and has participated in a wide range of commercial real estate transactions. He has has facilitated the sale of numerous commercial properties ranging in price from four Million to thirty-eight Million. He continues to work with a diverse group of investors, boutique style owners, developers and Real Estate Investment Trusts . He has represented well over a hundred office users in connection with their lease requirements in the Boston Financial District & Back Bay as well as in almost every suburban metropolitan market. On the retail side, Mr. Blacker has represented both Landlords and Tenants with a particular focus on the foodservice restaurant industry.
Mr. Blacker brings a depth of experience and expertise to each of his clients. He has a keen understanding of the common and competing issues that are of concern for each of the respective parties to the transaction. He brings market knowledge, outstanding negotiating & advocacy skills, clarity of vision, creativity, passion and integrity.
Mr. Blacker received his J.D. degree from New England School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Maryland. Prior to joining Coldwell Banker Commercial he was the Managing Director of Compass Commercial Boston.
