Rick Stallings began his Commercial Real Estate Career in 2008. While he was working on his MBA at Middle Tennessee State University, he took an elective class in Real Estate Finance and discovered his true passion: Commercial Real Estate. He loved the complexity of the financial analysis required in this field of study. In his 12-year career, he has advised many, many investors, buyers and sellers on using the financial statements as a critical tool to determine the true value of a Commercial Real Estate transaction.
He also loves the excitement that entrepreneurs express when they are opening a new business or seeking a new location. He likes assisting them in deciphering complicated commercial leases and helping them to find the perfect location for their new or existing ventures.
Rick believes in the importance of continuing his education. Before receiving his MBA, he graduated with honors from Belmont University with a Bachelors Degree in Business. He also obtained a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology with an emphasis in Robotics from Louisville Technical Institute, where he also graduated with honors.
Since earning his MBA, he has taken all four of the weeklong CCIM classes required to obtain the prestigious CCIM Designation. These classes are considered the Gold Standard of Commercial Real Estate training. In the Fall of 2021, Mr. Stallings will be sitting for the CCIM final exam in New Orleans. This exam, which takes 6 hours, tests an agent’s knowledge in Real Estate Finance, Accounting and Economics. The CCIM Designation is considered one of the most prestigious in Real Estate, with only 6% of all commercial agents earning the distinction.
Rick is a full time, full service, Commercial Real Estate Director in the Woodlands, TX. He has successfully closed deals in Industrial, Office, Retail, Special Purpose, Multi-Family, Senior Living, Self-Storage, Medical and Commercial Land sectors. He believes in devoting his practice solely to Commercial Real Estate which allows him to perfect and focus his skills to provide the best service to his clients. Any residential real estate prospects that emerge from these services, he gladly and generously passes on to those he has determined to be top quality Residential Agents.
On a more personal note, he relocated from Nashville to Houston in 2012. He has grown to love the Big City life, and all the sports that goes with it. He has become an Astros, Texans, and Rockets fan, but also enjoys watching his native teams, the Kentucky Wildcats and Tennessee Titans. He is also a big fan of the short Texas winters, as he is still trying, after 8 years, to adapt to the long Texas summers.
Rick is well aware that real estate is a highly competitive business and that he needs to provide superior customer service, or his clients will go elsewhere. He prides himself on answering his cell phone personally. His clients want answers right now and they do not want to talk to voice mail or an assistant. If he misses a call, it is because he is already in a meeting or attending a continuing education class. He often tells potential clients, “We can do anything the big companies can do, plus we answer our phones.” He used to have a 24/7 policy, but has come to realize that he provides the best service for his clients when he limits it to reasonable business hours.
Would you rather have a Commercial Real Estate Agent with Experience OR Education? With Rick Stallings, you get both.
