Originally from Pontiac, MI and married my high school sweetheart, Debbie, in 1974. We moved to the Roscommon area in 1975 and operated a gas station/convenience store known as Tom's I-75 at exit 244. In 1978 I obtained my real estate license. In 1981 I became an Associate Broker and bought the company I was licensed with. I operated both businesses and raised 3 children through the ensuing years. I sold both companies in 2000 and opened a new start up business in 2001. This business sold manufactured and modular homes. To do this I became a licensed builder and a general contractor. I operated this business till 2005. During this time I built over 40 homes.
I then became a district manager for 6 manufactured home communities in both North and South Dakota.
I am now back to what I love to do, that of helping buyers and sellers in the real estate market.
My first love is my grand kids. They live in Atlanta, GA, which is too far away and Lowell, MI. When I am with them I am constantly chuckling and marveling at their antics. My wife likes to say, "What have you done with my husband≠!" She says I certainly was not like this when our kids were that age.
I have two sons and a daughter. Our oldest son, Chris, lives in Atlanta with his wife Nicholle and our three beautiful granddaughters. Our youngest son, David, lives in Covington, Kentucky and is in the banking business. Our youngest is our daughter, Kelly, who lives in Lowell with the love of her life Ronnie. She has given me two more grandchildren. My wife's concern for her daughter is that she is entirely too much like her father.
My wife is very active in the church. Works as an administrative assistant for our local funeral home.
As for leisure I enjoy boating on beautiful Higgins Lake, golfing, bowling, and playing bridge when I can find a partner.
